The region boasts both public and private hospitals and is well serviced by medical professionals and community organisations; and there is a TAFE campus located in Alexandra Hills.
 
With a focus on open space, there are many parks and bushland areas to explore.  The leafy surrounds are home to many wildlife species including koalas, kangaroos, birds, and lizards.
